Apple rolled out the red carpet for its latest collection of devices at its annual fall event, broadcast from its Cupertino headquarters. CEO Tim Cook led the presentation, unveiling a portfolio of products defined by sleek style and thoughtful new features. The showstopper was the iPhone Air, a stunningly thin device that reasserts Apple’s dominance in industrial design.

The new $999 iPhone Air measures just 5.6mm wide and is built from premium “spacecraft titanium.” It heads up the new iPhone 17 family, which also includes refreshed Standard, Pro, and Pro Max editions. All models benefit from camera system upgrades—including a new mode to film from front and rear lenses at once—as well as speed and battery enhancements.

Apple’s audio and wearable lines also received significant updates. The AirPods Pro 3, priced at $249, introduce a powerful live translation feature, effectively turning the earbuds into a personal interpreter. They also offer improved noise cancellation for a more immersive listening experience.

On the health front, the new Apple Watch Series 11 (with updated Ultra and SE versions) adds a crucial new capability: hypertension detection. The feature is designed to alert users to potential health risks, with Apple estimating it could help over a million people in its first year. The new products will launch on September 19, with iPhone preorders starting this Friday.
