Fidan emphasized Turkey’s desire to maintain amicable relations with Greece but stressed the importance of Athens considering Turkey’s security concerns, particularly in relation to the military presence on Aegean islands that Turkey argues should remain demilitarized.
The diplomatic relations between Greece and Turkey have seen efforts to improve in recent years.
