Hungary and Türkiye are advancing their military collaboration by exploring joint training and technological cooperation, according to recent discussions between military delegations from both countries. The talks focused on expanding cooperation in areas such as drone technology, technical support, and chemical defense, as well as counter-improvised explosive device training.
The Turkish delegation had the opportunity to review Hungary’s military training system, including a visit to a central firing and training range. During this visit, Hungarian forces showcased the capabilities of the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle, highlighting their operational readiness and technological advancements.
In addition to discussing vehicle capabilities, the two nations explored the use of drones in modern military operations. The potential for joint training to enhance personnel skills in drone technology was a key point of interest, indicating an alignment of priorities in adapting to new military technologies.
The meetings also involved an examination of Turkish defense equipment currently deployed within the Hungarian armed forces. Both sides shared operational experiences and insights regarding these systems, fostering a mutual understanding of their effectiveness and areas for improvement.
